Heating Things up in the World of Bugs

ECOLA Heat is a non-chemical treatment process that offers you flexibility and versatility. The process raises the temperature of your home using clean outside air to a level that is lethal to insects and other pests, but won't do damage to the structure. Most treatments can be completed in a single day, eliminating the need for the overnight move-out hassle.

ECOLA Heat was developed in the 1980s by Dr. Charles Forbes and Dr. Walter Ebeling of UCLA as an alternative to traditional fumigation based-termite treatments. Since it was developed it has been re-engineered and perfected for killing termites, wood destroying organisms, bed bugs, cockroaches, ants, and other common indoor insects and pests. One of the great advantages of Ecola Heat is that multiple pests can be targeted at once – no matter how many different pests you have heat will penetrate their nests and harborages and kill the infestations. It is the only other process to fumigation recognized by the California Department of Consumer Affairs for full-structure termite treatments.

ECOLA Heat is simple – it's just heat. It uses propane-powered heaters to raise the temperature of clean, outdoor air to levels that are lethal for insects and pests. The air is then directed into the treatment area and maintained for a period of 1 to 3 hours to ensure the treatment was effective. Temperature probes are placed in all of the most difficult to heat areas and target areas to ensure lethal temperatures were achieved. The entire process can take 6 to 8 hours and eliminates the need for an overnight move-out or for bagging and removing of food. Heat has the added benefit of deodorizing and disinfecting the treatment area.

ECOLA Heat and warming agent is an excellent non-chemical alternative to fumigation. In fact, the California Department of Consumer Affairs states that Fumigation and Heating of the entire house are the only options that ensure eradication in the entire structure.

ECOLA Heat is perfect for today's structures allowing for versatility that is hard to find with other treatment options. Treatments can be tailored to fit the unique design of any structure and to minimize disruption to businesses, other tenants or parts of a home that are not impacted by the infestation or to areas that may contain items sensitive to heat. Because we can tailor your treatment with Ecola Heat we can save you time, hassle, and money.

ECOLA Heat is ideal for anyone facing a termite or pest problem and are concerned with the use of chemicals in their home or office as a result of a medical condition, chemical sensitivity, or asthma.
